Having checked all 100,000 bolts on the safety barrier of the 2km Braila Bridge, CNAIR confirmed on Sunday that all but 401 (0.4%) had been adequately tight.

The bridge, funded partly by the EU, connects the towns of Braila and Galati. It was opened in July 2023.
