The 1,315m-long bridge has a 467m-long main steel truss arch span consisting of concrete-filled sealed steel boxes designed  to control wind-induced forces. It is claimed to be the world’s highest bridge due to its deck being 359m above sea level.

The structure crosses the Chenab River in the Kashmir Valley and is expected to be completed by Afcons Infrastructure in December this year.
