Volunteers will take part in the construction of a 97m-span footbridge in a rural area of Nicaragua. The company is the first in Spain to collaborate with the charity, which provides isolated communities with access to essential services by building footbridges over impassable rivers.

The bridge will ensure that nearby neighbourhoods can remain connected to services during the rainy season when their local river becomes dangerous to cross. Hundreds of local people will be able to cross to go to the doctor, markets or schools without risking their lives. The bridge is also expected to support social and economic development of the area.
