The Spanish state-owned railway infrastructure manager Adif has put out tenders worth US$16 million to remove four level crossings in the Asturian municipality of Mieres in northern Spain.

One of the tenders is for work to connect the track through road overpasses and new roads running parallel to the railway line.

The other tender is for work to replace a level crossing by connecting the road to an existing highway overpass.
