In January, Paraguay’s ministry of public works awarded the construction contract to the Union Consortium, made up of CDD Construcciones and Constructora Heisecke. The US$116 million project is expected to provide employment for more than 400 people.
The Héroes del Chaco Bridge, which will cross the Paraguay River, is due for completion in 36 months. It is aimed at relieving congestion on the existing bridge.
